Until we travel again…

Until we travel again…

This time last year 2020 looked like a very normal yet exciting year. We were dusting off our plans for traveling to Europe in the summer with perhaps a long weekend away mid May or October to somewhere cultural without our children but like everyone home became our globe.

As architects we are always seeking inspiration from nature or formal design and no more so when traveling. Seeing other countries in the flesh is both exciting and rewarding creatively and so I decided to put my slide show into action to reflect on past travels. These slides contain some of my favourite architecture from the Villa Savoie by Le Corbusier, the Guggenheim in New York by FLW and cities that are continuously evolving and adapting – New York, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Lisbon, Paris, Chicago, Bilbao, Barcelona, Berlin, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Graz

To travel for inspiration means to enjoy every architectural element a country has to offer – to marvel at the most simple to the outright sublime & we cannot wait for 2021 to pack our camera, sketch pads and to open doors to see some timeless design
