Planning Permission has recently been granted to extend a significant Edwardian house in Emsworth, Hampshire.
The proposals provide two new wings to the existing house. The east wing, projecting into the garden, is a single storey extension, consisting of a new kitchen, dining and living space. The two storey south wing comprises a ground floor cinema room and bar and a first floor mezzanine gym. Both wings are linked by a terrace which provides an outside kitchen. A new car port has been provided at the front of the property.
The design uses a glazed strip to separate new from existing, allowing a more contemporary design while respecting the old.
Construction is due to start towards the end of 2017.
